Description
EZ Loader TA96BT 27-31 13000 DX3 Offshore Boat Trailer
Heavy-duty aluminum construction. Offshore-capable support. Hull-specific fitment by 411Marine.
The EZ Loader TA96BT 27-31 13000 DX3 is built for larger 27-31 ft offshore boats, deep-V center consoles, and heavier fiberglass hulls that need serious support, stable road manners, and controlled loading at the ramp.
This updated 13000 lb carrying capacity-class triple axle trailer replaces the older 12000 lb class profile with a stronger setup for modern offshore hulls, heavier rigging, larger fuel loads, and longer-distance towing.
With a 14,400 lb Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), 225/75R15 E-rated radial tires, EZ Loader manufactured in-house 5,500 lb torsion axles, DX3 disc brakes, natural cypress hardwood bunks, and a longer tongue for bow clearance, this trailer is built for customers who need more than a basic boat trailer.
This is not a generic “fits-most” trailer. Every unit is reviewed and matched by 411Marine based on hull shape, beam width, loaded weight, bow hardware, ramp conditions, and towing use.
Built for Larger Offshore Hulls
The EZ Loader TA96BT 27-31 13000 DX3 offshore boat trailer is designed for boats that need heavier support, stronger running gear, and better control during launch and retrieval.
Larger offshore boats place more demand on a trailer. Weight distribution, bunk contact, bow stop position, axle placement, braking, and tongue length all matter.
A trailer in this class must do more than carry the boat. It has to support the hull correctly, track smoothly on the road, load predictably at the ramp, and remain serviceable over time.
That is where proper fitment matters. 411Marine reviews the full boat setup before recommending this trailer, including motor weight, fuel load, batteries, electronics, windlass equipment, bow pulpit, and typical launch conditions.
14,400 lb GVWR and E-Rated Radial Tires
This updated trailer is rated with a 14,400 lb GVWR and uses 225/75R15 E-rated radial tires for stronger load support.
E-rated radial tires are an important upgrade for larger boats and longer-distance towing. They provide stronger load support, improved road stability, and smoother highway performance compared with lighter-duty tire packages.
For customers who tow long distances, a properly matched tire and wheel package matters. A smooth-pulling trailer is easier on the boat, easier on the tow vehicle, and more comfortable on the road.
EZ Loader In-House 5,500 lb Torsion Axles
This trailer uses EZ Loader manufactured in-house 5,500 lb torsion axles.
Building these axles through EZ Loader’s own manufacturing operation helps maintain quality control, service consistency, and long-term support for the trailer platform.
Torsion axle suspension also helps provide smoother road manners, independent wheel movement, and better control under heavier offshore boats.
For a trailer carrying this level of boat, axle quality is not a minor detail. It affects towing behavior, tire wear, ride quality, and long-term serviceability.
Natural Cypress Bunk Support for V-Bottom Hulls
The TA96BT 27-31 13000 DX3 uses heavy natural cypress hardwood bunks measuring approximately 11.5″ x 4.5″ x 12 ft.
These bunks are angle-cut to cradle V-bottom hulls correctly, helping support the boat’s running surface while improving loading alignment and road stability.
Proper bunk fitment matters on larger offshore boats. The goal is not just to hold the boat on the trailer. The goal is to support the hull correctly, protect the running surface, and help the boat load straight at the ramp.
Natural cypress is a proven marine bunk material. It offers long service life, strong hull support, and avoids many chemical-treatment concerns tied to some pressure-treated lumber.
Using cypress is one more example of how commitment and legacy work together. EZ Loader has built trailers for generations with the same practical goal: helping boaters get to the water safely, reliably, and with the right equipment under the hull.
Longer Tongue, Bow Clearance, and Adjustable V-Stop Support
This trailer includes a longer tongue to provide additional clearance between the tow vehicle, winch stand, and boat bow during launch and retrieval.
That extra tongue length is especially useful for boats equipped with a bow pulpit, windlass, or anchor chute. On some boats, the anchor or pulpit can hang low enough to catch the upright winch stand or winch assembly during easy loading.
At a busy ramp, that kind of interference can make solo loading uncomfortable and difficult. Extra clearance gives the operator more room to load the boat smoothly and reduces the chance of bow hardware contacting the winch stand.
This model also includes a heavy-duty adjustable angled V-stop with non-marking bow rollers. The V-stop helps bring the bow to center as the boat loads and gives the front of the hull a more controlled resting point.
For added highway security, this setup includes a stainless steel ratchet bow strap. Proper front tie-down support helps reduce bow movement and helps prevent the boat from porpoising on the trailer during road travel.
DX3 Braking for Larger Boats
The DX3 configuration includes disc brakes on 6 wheels.
For larger offshore boats, braking is not just an upgrade. It is part of safe towing, especially when traveling longer distances, launching on grades, or towing through traffic.
Disc brakes provide strong stopping performance, better heat management, and more confidence under heavier loads.
Brake requirements may vary by state, total weight, and use. 411Marine can help review your setup before purchase so you understand the trailer configuration and towing requirements.
Adjustable Target Bunks and Loading Control
This trailer can be configured with adjustable target bunks to help guide the boat during loading.
Target bunks are especially helpful with larger center consoles, offshore hulls, and boats that may be loaded in current, wind, or crowded ramp conditions.
The goal is repeatable loading. A properly adjusted bunk and bow stop setup helps the boat settle correctly on the trailer without forcing the hull into the wrong position.
Build and Component Focus
The TA96BT platform is built around strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term serviceability.
The aluminum frame structure helps reduce overall trailer weight while maintaining the support needed for larger fiberglass boats.
Critical connection points, bunk supports, winch stand components, axles, brakes, hubs, wheels, fenders, lighting, and tie-down systems all work together as part of the final trailer fitment.
This is why 411Marine does not recommend a trailer by length alone. A 30 ft boat with a sharp offshore entry, heavy motors, full fuel, and a bow pulpit may need a different setup than another boat with the same listed length.
Fitment Examples
This trailer may be a strong starting point for larger offshore boats and center consoles in the 27-31 ft range, depending on loaded weight, beam, hull shape, and ramp use.
Potential fitment examples may include select models from:
- Boston Whaler Outrage-style offshore hulls
- Grady-White walkaround and center console models
- Mako offshore center consoles
- Regulator-style deep-V hulls
- Other larger fiberglass offshore boats in the 27-31 ft range
Final fitment must be confirmed before purchase. Boat model, year, beam, dry weight, engine package, fuel capacity, bow hardware, and actual loaded weight all matter.
What We Need to Match This Trailer Correctly
Before recommending this trailer, we may ask for:
- Boat year, make, and model
- Overall length and beam
- Dry weight and estimated loaded towing weight
- Engine size, number of engines, and transom weight
- Fuel capacity and typical fuel load
- Bow pulpit, windlass, or anchor chute details
