Description
EZ Loader G2 58BT 12-14 1000 lb Galvanized Jon Boat Trailer
Small galvanized bunk trailer. Knott torsion axle. Narrow hull support. Practical fitment by 411MarineCom.
The EZ Loader 58BT 12-14 1000 lb is a purpose-built trailer for smaller boats that run backwaters, creeks, rivers, and skinny-water launches. It is a strong match for jon boats, flat bottoms, modified-V and shallow-V hulls, and small V-hull aluminum fishing boats where correct bunk placement and balance make the difference between an easy launch and a frustrating load.
This model is commonly used with smaller aluminum jon boats, Alweld-style jon boats, and similar narrow-chine hulls that do not require oversized bunk boards. In many cases, a properly placed 3-inch wide bunk board can support the hull correctly while keeping the trailer simple, durable, and easy to maneuver.
Knott Torsion Axle and Hub Support
This configuration features a Knott torsion axle, which is especially valuable on lighter rigs. Torsion suspension typically delivers a smoother, more controlled ride with less bounce, helping small boats tow more predictably and track cleaner behind the vehicle.
That smoother ride matters on rough ramps, uneven pavement, worn county landings, and longer local towing routes. A small boat may not weigh much, but balance, suspension, and axle quality still matter.
This trailer uses Knott hub components backed by a 3-year parts and labor warranty when purchased by the original owner, subject to manufacturer warranty terms. Under normal use, these trailers rarely break or require major service. Still, warranty and parts support matter when you need them.
When the original owner purchases through 411MarineCom, we help support replacement parts at discounted dealer pricing when service parts are needed.
Galvanized Steel Frame Advantage
The full-length 3″ x 2″ galvanized main frame tubing gives the trailer durability and fitment flexibility. It also allows the adjustable winch stand, often called the “K” stand, to be positioned along the frame for proper bow alignment.
The galvanized steel frame also gives this small trailer a practical advantage at the ramp. On shallow landings or in swift current, very light trailers can sometimes move around more than expected.
The galvanized structure helps keep the trailer more planted during loading compared with very light small aluminum trailers that may want to float or shift because of material buoyancy and lower frame weight.
Contrary to popular belief, a quality aluminum trailer is not always much lighter than a comparable galvanized trailer. Reputable manufacturers often use thicker aluminum material to build strength into the frame. That can bring the empty trailer weight close to a similar galvanized model.
For example, this 58BT 12-14 1000 model has a 1,250 lb GVWR and a 1,000 lb carrying capacity, leaving an estimated trailer weight of about 250 lbs. A comparable aluminum model that is no longer in production had a 1,550 lb GVWR, 1,350 lb carrying capacity, and an estimated trailer weight of about 200 lbs.
That aluminum version was later discontinued due to limited need. For many small jon boat owners, the galvanized 58BT remains the practical choice.
Adjustable Bunks and Custom Fitment
Built with EZ Loader’s proven galvanized construction and adjustable components, the 58BT is not treated as a generic “fits-most” option.
411MarineCom can custom-fit, align, and set up the trailer to your hull by dialing in bunk position, winch geometry, and balance. The goal is simple: your boat should load consistently, ride centered, and tow with confidence.
The adjustable bunks can be set for proper hull contact across a range of small jon boats, narrow-bottom aluminum fishing boats, and similar lightweight hulls from smaller utility sizes up to comfortable 12-14 ft applications.
Radial Tires and Galvanized Wheels
This trailer uses radial tires with galvanized wheels, a practical match for both freshwater and saltwater use.
Galvanized wheels handle wet ramp conditions well and keep the trailer simple to maintain. Radial tires also improve road manners compared with older bias-style tire setups, especially for customers who tow beyond short neighborhood trips.
Easy to Store and Easy to Move
At approximately 58 inches overall width, this trailer is easy to store beside a house, behind a building, or in tighter garage spaces.
Its smaller width and simple bunk layout make it a good choice for boat owners who want a durable trailer without adding unnecessary size, weight, or complexity.
